Jameson House, is a single-family house for Andrew and his wife Miyoung. They consider the dwelling as a place to spend and enjoy their new life after their recent retirement with their family and friends who visit them

The design creates a dialogue with the steep topography by generating a series of platforms at different levels making an emphasis of the inside-outside relationship through a scale of light and shadow areas allowing the user to enjoy the amazing views of the near surrounding mountains as well as the Mediterranean sea and the African continent in the far distance.

The disposition the different of volumes will be an important part of the project, where the singularity of each of them is sought after, responding to the heterogeneity of the surrounding buildings and thus integrating the building into the diversity of the hill. The first volume, located at the lower street level, adapts to the scale and openings of the adjoining buildings. The second volume has a freer vocation, using the curve as a differentiating element. The third volume tries to minimize the presence of the neighboring dividing wall while taking advantage of the imposed use of a traditional tile roof.

The plot overlooks two parallel streets, one at the lowest level and the other located 9 meters above, having to fit the different floors very precisely, with the added difficulty of the presence of the pool basin at the intermediate level, where the day area is located. This floor is the only one that occupies the entire plot, and also where the courtyard and garden concepts are worked on, producing a more intimate resting place, in juxtaposition of the rest of areas in the house which are all bathed by the immensity of the horizon.
