New project completed: Health Center in Rincón de la Victoria – Málaga

This center not only represents a significant advance in public health infrastructure, but also stands out for its innovative design and integration with its surroundings.

Budget and Surface

With a material execution budget of 6 million euros and a built area of 7,222 m², this health center is designed to provide a functional and pleasant environment for both patients and health professionals.

The investment reflects a commitment to quality and excellence in healthcare services, ensuring that the building meets the highest standards.

Strategic Location and Space Organization

The building is strategically located on the plot, maximizing the organization of the exterior spaces and ensuring that all the sanitary spaces and consultation rooms have a good orientation and access to natural light, as well as ensuring a certain degree of privacy from the street and adjacent residential areas.

Located at the geodesic center of the plot, the building is elevated slightly above street level, which not only improves ventilation, but also facilitates wastewater evacuation. This strategic location also allows easy access for the center’s users and staff.

Design and Configuration

With an independent and abstract configuration, the building adopts the Andalusian courtyard as its main structural element.

This central courtyard organizes the program, creating empty spaces on its sides that function as waiting areas, access and interaction zones, fostering an atmosphere of encounter and serenity, essential characteristics for a public building.

The rectangular structure with the central courtyard allows for maximum compactness, with the porch and entrance hall connected to the courtyard, acting as the functional and visual core of the building.

Innovation in Space Design

The health center’s design is based on principles of sustainability and efficiency. The building materials were selected for their durability and low environmental impact, while the natural ventilation system reduces the need for artificial air conditioning, contributing to a healthier and more sustainable environment.

In addition, the large windows allow natural light to enter, reducing energy consumption and creating a more pleasant environment for users.
