Concurso de ideas para la construcción de un edificio de covivienda en Albolote (Granada) promovido por la fundación “FRANCISCO CARVAJAL”.
This competition aims to develop a building that not only provides housing with social housing (VPO) standards, but also promotes an active and enriching social environment.
The initiative is mainly focused on the non-dependent “senior” population, offering a space where they can establish personal, social and cultural relationships.
This architectural proposal seeks to take advantage of the synergies that the architecture itself can offer, creating an environment conducive to interaction and community.
The building is intended to house 1-2 bedroom homes with VPO standards and with a social vocation.
The purpose is to provide accessible and suitable housing for elderly people who do not require constant assistance, allowing them to enjoy a high quality of life in a safe and friendly environment.
The structure of the building is designed to encourage interaction among residents, facilitating the creation of an active and supportive community. In addition, the headquarters of the Francisco Carvajal Foundation will be located on the first floor of the building, thus consolidating its presence and commitment to the local community.
The proposal has been awarded with an Accésit, a recognition that highlights the effort and creativity of DTR Studio in the development of an innovative and functional project.
This award highlights the quality and viability of the proposal presented, in line with the guidelines and technical bases established for this type of building.
1. Compact building towards the street and more permeable to the central atrium, which allows for energy savings. This design ensures that the building is energy efficient, using the orientation and structure to minimize losses and maximize the use of natural light.
2. Relationship of the projected building, the existing topography and the access areas to the plot. Integration with the surroundings is fundamental for the success of the project. The design adapts to the topography of the site and facilitates access, creating a natural and harmonious transition between the building and its surroundings.
3. Design of the building inserted in a clear and serial structural geometry. We seek to optimize circulation surfaces and floor area in relation to the usable area, ensuring that each space within the building is used efficiently and practically.
4. Simple construction system that allows for easy maintenance and good upkeep. The use of industrialized and sustainable construction methods not only facilitates the construction of the building, but also ensures its durability and ease of maintenance in the long term.
5. **Generate a central space that amplifies the relationships between residents and is the heart of the proposal. This central space acts as a social nucleus within the building, promoting interaction and a sense of community among residents.
In conclusion, DTR Studio’s proposal for the co-Housing building in Albolote is a comprehensive project that combines energy efficiency, functionality, sustainability and socially conscious design. This approach not only provides quality housing, but also creates an environment that fosters community and social interaction, improving the quality of life for its residents.
