We were faced with a challenge to optimize an existing dwelling, as the apartment typology in a ski resort requires the minimization of each of the uses of a dwelling.
These types of projects always present unique challenges, as it is necessary to adapt spaces efficiently to meet the specific needs of those using the home. In a ski resort, apartments are usually small, so every square meter counts.
It is crucial to maximize the utility of each area to ensure that occupants can enjoy all the amenities without feeling limited by space. Our main objective is to amplify the perception of the available space, creating a more open and airy environment that minimizes the feeling of confinement.
The project focuses on maximizing the utility of every square meter of the apartment, with the aim of amplifying the perception of space and, consequently, minimizing the feeling of confinement.
In this type of renovation, it is essential to be creative and find innovative solutions that allow an efficient use of space. Esto puede incluir el uso de muebles multifuncionales, soluciones de almacenamiento inteligentes y una distribución estratégica de los objetos para optimizar cada rincón del apartamento.
In addition, we seek to implement designs that provide luminosity and fluidity, making the space appear larger than it really is.
The wet area (kitchen, toilet and bathroom) is carefully redistributed to balance the spaces and improve the overall functionality of the apartment. A correct distribution of these areas is essential, as they are areas of daily use and need to be highly functional.
In our project, we have redesigned the kitchen, toilet and bathroom to make them more efficient and accessible, making the most of every available centimeter. This not only improves the functionality of the apartment, but also helps to create a sense of order and spaciousness.
The new layout will allow users to move around easily and use the spaces in a more comfortable and practical way.
Storage becomes the articulating element of the project, providing continuity and fluidity to the different environments. One of the biggest challenges in small spaces is finding enough space for storage without compromising design and functionality.
In this project, we have integrated storage solutions that are not only practical, but also act as decorative and transitional elements between the different areas of the apartment. These solutions include built-in cabinets, modular shelving and hidden compartments that integrate harmoniously into the overall design.
The goal is to create a cohesive and fluid space, where storage not only serves a practical function, but also contributes to the aesthetics of the apartment.
In summary, this apartment renovation project in Sierra Nevada focuses on space optimization, intelligent redistribution of the wet area and the integration of innovative storage solutions. All this in order to create a functional, welcoming and visually appealing environment that maximizes the perception of space and minimizes the feeling of confinement.
